TAS / GS / IAS / CAS speed conversions. Distance in nautical miles, kilometres, or statute miles. Speed in knots, km/h, mph, or Mach number. Altitude in feet, metres, or flight levels. Cursor lands at the right of any existing value so backspace deletes the rightmost digit immediately — no triple-tap-to-select required.
°C ⇄ °F. Pressure conversions in inHg, hPa / mb, mmHg, or Pa. Density altitude with both pressure and temperature correction — type the ATIS altimeter setting and the DA updates live. Defaults to ISA reference (15 °C, 29.92 inHg).
Pounds ⇄ kilograms (fuel and weight). US gallons ⇄ litres. Fuel-type-aware volume ⇄ weight using current density. One tap, no errors at the FBO fuel desk.
Jet A density auto-corrects from fuel temperature using the ASTM D1655 typical volume-correction factor: density(T) = 6.70 − 0.0049 × (T − 15 °C) lb/USgal. SAF blend math with lifecycle CO₂ reduction. Specific-gravity presets for Jet A, Jet A-1, and 100LL. Toggle off the auto-correction to type a measured FBO density.
Zulu ⇄ local with full DST awareness. Hours and minutes ⇄ decimal hours for logbook and maintenance flight log entries — type 1:24 and read 1.4 instantly. Block and flight time math for after-block calculations.
Zulu duty and rest window calculations on 24-hour display. Lock toggle keeps rest-end and duty-start timestamps tied so the two periods share a continuous boundary. Two derived read-outs: Earliest Duty On (rest start + minimum rest interval) and Maximum Duty End (duty start + maximum duty interval). Whole-hour steppers; NaN-guarded derived times. Supports FAR 117 and IS-BAO frameworks.

A quick primer on the Safety Assessment of Foreign Aircraft program — and why every business aviation pilot needs to be SAFA-ready.
SAFA is a European Union Aviation Safety Agency (EASA) program of unannounced ramp inspections of third-country aircraft and crews at airports in EASA member states. The program assesses compliance with ICAO standards using a standardized checklist.
A SAFA ramp inspection covers four areas of the aircraft and crew: A — Flight Deck, B — Cabin Safety, C — Aircraft Exterior, and D — Cargo, plus a General section. The SAFA+ Checklist app mirrors this structure exactly.
SAFA findings are graded as Category 1 (Minor), Category 2 (Significant), or Category 3 (Major). Major findings can ground an aircraft. The app provides quick reference for AMM/SRM dispatch-limits handling so you know exactly how to respond.
Any non-EASA aircraft operating into an EASA member state can be selected for a SAFA ramp inspection — Part 91, Part 135, fractional, charter, or commercial. Inspections are random and unannounced. Preparation is the only defense.
A SAFA ramp inspector may ask for far more than the inspection checklist itself. The SAFA+ Checklist app includes a customizable Appendix where you can store every supporting document — Letters of Authorization (LOA), Operational Specifications (OpSpecs), insurance certificates, certificate of registration, certificate of airworthiness, noise certificates, RVSM/MNPS authorizations, MEL, and any additional category your operator defines. Documents stay on the device, are accessible offline, and travel with the aircraft profile so the right paperwork is always one tap away.
Fly-RightLLC was founded by veteran corporate aviation professionals who know firsthand the pressure of an unannounced SAFA ramp inspection, the documentation problem of an annual EU ETS verifier visit, and the dozen small calculations every flight crew runs before block-out.
We build SAFA+ — one iOS app, universal across iPhone and iPad, that combines a complete ECAC SAFA / SACA ramp inspection workflow, ICAO Doc 9889 CO₂ emissions reporting, and a full Cockpit Tools suite (Flight Planning, Duty/Rest, Hot/Cold Temperature Altitude per PANS-OPS, China RVSM reference, Weather Decoding, RCAM, and more). One annual subscription of $149.99 USD covers the full app for an entire flight department. Family Sharing supported. Nothing leaves your device.
The SAFA+ Checklist app — including SAFA+ Inspection and the built-in Aviation Carbon Emissions Calculator — is a preparation, reference, and reporting tool only. The app does not replace official EASA, ICAO, FAA, CAA, or other regulator documentation; your operator's approved procedures; the aircraft flight manual; or the judgment of a qualified pilot in command, sustainability officer, or environmental auditor. Use of the app does not guarantee a successful ramp inspection, regulatory compliance, the accuracy of any emissions calculation or report, or any particular outcome. Always defer to current regulations, current emission-factor data, and the authority having jurisdiction.
