About E6B Max

E6B Max is a flight computer and planning toolkit for student pilots and general-aviation aviators: the classic E6B slide-rule calculations plus a nav log, weight & balance, live weather (METAR/TAF/winds aloft), a moving map, a sensor-driven instrument six-pack, unit conversions, and always-current FAA regulations. It is a one-time purchase with no subscription, no ads, and no accounts.

Safety note: E6B Max is a planning and training aid — not a certified instrument or navigation source. Always verify critical information against current official sources and your aircraft's approved documents. You are pilot in command.

Frequently asked questions

The Instruments (attitude, altimeter, etc.) don't move.

The instrument six-pack is driven by your device's real sensors, so it needs a physical iPhone or iPad — it will not read in the iOS Simulator. The attitude, turn, altimeter, and vertical-speed instruments require the motion sensors and barometer.

The altimeter reads 0 or won't update.

The heading shows "GPS · MOVE FOR COURSE".

GPS course is your track over the ground, which iOS only reports while you're actually moving (above a few knots). When stationary it shows dashes; switch the heading source to the internal Compass for a magnetic heading that works at rest, or start moving to get GPS course.

Weather, the map, or FAA regulations won't load.

Those features fetch live data over the internet (aviationweather.gov, Apple Maps, and the eCFR), so they need a connection. The calculators, nav log, weight & balance, instruments, and conversions all work fully offline.

How do I restore my purchase or get a refund?

E6B Max is a one-time purchase handled entirely by Apple. Purchases follow your Apple ID and can be re-downloaded at no charge on your devices. For receipts, billing, or refunds, use reportaproblem.apple.com or support.apple.com/billing.

Do you collect any of my data?

No. E6B Max has no accounts, no analytics, and no tracking; your profiles and trips stay on your device. See the Privacy Policy for details.

How do I add or delete nav-log legs / W&B stations?

In the Nav Log, tap a leg's trash button, or tap Edit (top-right) to reorder and swipe-delete. In Weight & Balance, tap Edit to reorder or delete stations, or swipe a row to delete.
